We flew the shipment last Friday & reached its destination the following Monday. Kauai Irrigation / Eartquake Management are working with us finding a diligent workrelationship that turned up great shipping success.

Does your air shipments qualify for a nose load?

In a world where small is beautiful, airfreight undoubtedly represents a notable exception. In
air cargo transportation, big pieces are the most impressive type of freight. Everything about them is off-size: the dimensions, the weight, the loading and off-loading equipment and, above all, the aircraft it takes to transport them.

On the Move: Shippers are increasingly opening distribution centers and manufacturing plants in the
vicinity of U.S. intermodal terminals, providing them some buffer from a general deterioration in rail service this year, and shorter drayage times between the hub and their warehouses. Retailers are pressed to provide next-day or even same-day delivery to end-customers, and this is also driving them to seek
industrial space near intermodal terminals. JOC Senior Editor Mark Szakonyi reports on this growing trend and its advantages in the September 1 Cover Story of The Journal of Commerce magazine.
The 45-day review period of the proposed 10-year 2M alliance between Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Co. has begun at the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission. The world's two largest container carriers say they'll initially operate a total of 97 vessels in the trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic trades, with
capacities between 4,000 and 13,000 TEUs. Eventually, however, they could operate up to 130 vessels with capacities of up to 19,200 TEUs each, ships much larger than any currently calling at U.S. ports. Read more contact JOC.
Turning 30 years old last July made me realize how much our industry changed. I get a kick out of this one! 30 years ago, we did not have computers. Actually, we did not have facsimile either. You needed good phones, a telex machine and a modern type writer, this was 1984.
It did not take long to graduate into a word processor (a type writer with a screen to its side..) & the telex became the facsimile. Then before long, we had the Dinosaur computers.
Nowadays, we have no room to hide. One thing for sure, we learned the value of human interaction and dealing with shippers' shipments in a technology advanced environment that we part of. So, we know how it goes & we give you attention & the human touch. I like to say on & off:
" In the world of mass production, poor expertise & lack of personal engagement adds unexpected costs & aggravation. ETC Intl. Freight System, has no aspiration to be the K-Mart of the freight forwarding business.
We are independently owned & although part of an industry highly regulated, we help you close the gap to manage your shipments from inception to end. Our employees’ knowledge & dedication are of paramount importance in the services that we render, which bear our name. Customer satisfaction is the guiding principle for all our activities."
